Chris Sununu makes a bold prediction about Nikki Haley’s chances in the race

While you can appreciate Sununu’s point about kicking people out and how to attract voters, it doesn’t necessarily look very flattering when he points out that South Carolina has “very low voter turnout.” Moreover, Haley came under fire for appealing to Democratic voters who participated in the New Hampshire Republican primary.

But Sununu is particularly bold when it comes to his confidence in the polls, or lack thereof. If any poll had Haley within the margin of error, or even if the range wasn’t that wide, he would be more correct.

Frankly, polls have actually been completely wrong before, so it’s effortless to consider, at least in some contexts, how “nobody cares about the polls.” Sununu also talked about “the final result.

Interestingly, a red wave was predicted for 2022 but did not occur, except in Florida, as DeSantis reminded people of during his campaign. This was not just a disappointment for the Republican Party, but largely unexpected.

However, when it comes to the Republican primaries, where Trump himself Is in the vote he may not have ended up winning by exactly the numbers or margins that were predicted, but he still won by a sufficient margin, and with historical numbers in both Iowa and New Hampshire.

RealClearPolling he had Trump with him spread +33.7 in Iowa and ended up winning +29.8. From New Hampshire, he had had enough a spread of +19.3 and a win of +11.3, so still double digits. He also won significantly more votes than Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) when he ran in the Democratic primary for president in 2016. Until last week’s Trump primary in New Hampshire, Sanders held the record.

As for South Carolina, RCP currently has Trump up by +30.2 in South Carolina, which is similar to the polling rate from The Hill/Decision Desk headquarters mentioned above. If it was wrong enough for Haley to win, it would be quite significant.

Sununu is really taking a risk by simply saying “polls, bullshit” when it comes to such an advantage.
