GOP Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio said in an interview this week that he intends to investigate President Biden’s chief medical adviser and National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) director Dr. Anthony Fauci over his knowledge of the origins of the Wuhan virus , if Republicans take back the House.
Jordan shared these comments Sunday on Fox News with Maria Bartiromo. In the interview, Jordan discussed his intentions to investigate Fauci if Republicans take over the House in the 2022 midterms and criticized the Biden administration’s handling of the pandemic.
“Are you going to investigate Anthony Fauci if you take control and a majority of the House?” – Baritoromo asked.
“If the Americans return us to power, we will definitely do it. Because we now know without a doubt that Dr. Fauci knew on January 31st and February 1st that this thing [coronavirus] it came from the laboratory. The top scientists in the country said it came from a lab,” Jordan said in an interview. He noted that scientists who believed the virus came from a lab changed their position and wrote an article for Nature Medicine suggesting the virus did not come from a lab.
In the interview, Jordan criticized the Biden administration’s strategy to combat the pandemic. Jordan explained that his administration was about “power and control” and that they had screwed up “everything.”
“It’s about power and control. It’s certainly not about science, it’s certainly not about truth. It’s definitely not about facts. It’s about power and control. And that’s just one more thing they have [the Biden administration] done wrong. I mean, honestly, I don’t know if they did anything right. A Quinnipiac poll showed his approval at 33 percent. I think the real question is: who are the 33 percent? Who are the people who actually think he’s doing a good job? They broke every single thing. You think about the message they send to families. Especially in urban areas where they say, “We’re not going to let your kids go to school, we’re going to let bad people roam the streets, and by the way, we’re also going to let illegal immigrants vote.” That’s the message they’re sending. No wonder no one approves of what this administration is doing,” Jordan said.
