America under Joe Biden is the antithesis of what our nation was under Donald J. Trump. This is reported by Axios: “At his Thursday rally [November 3rd]in Sioux City, Iowa, Trump said: “For our country to be successful and protected and glorious, I will very, very, very likely do it again… Get ready, that’s all I’m going to tell you – coming soon. Get ready. “
I believe this would be a mistake that would delay the success of the conservative movement by a decade or more.
Scott Johnson of the Babylon Bee announced the results of this election “I was despondent as usual, but I prefer to think of my pessimism as higher realism. “I expected the worst and hoped for the best, but I had no idea the election could have ended as badly for the Republicans as they did.” Simply put, a red tide has not rolled over America.
Harsh, you say? Austerity is the middle name of American politics, especially recently with the rise of the slogan “I have a pen and a phone to sign executive orders.” The Obama years in 2014. Like many of you, I voted for Trump in 2016 and was very pleased with what he accomplished economically and internationally.
I trusted that 2022 would be nothing more than spilled political milk and that enough Republicans would win the vote to decisively take back the House and hopefully the Senate as well. With this surprising and disappointing showing, a Trump run in 2024 would undo the marginal conservative progress currently made by Republicans and lead the GOP to once again take second fiddle to the Democratic Party in two years.
Whether Trump’s political baggage is legitimate or not, he has plenty of it, and you can count on MSM, second-tier Democrats and Republicans who were never Trump to work and vote against the Republican ticket in 2024 or after they will just stay at home away from the poles. Trump’s recent “mean tweet.” achieved on Reddithe repeated his 2020 claims that the election was stolen, the MSM is corrupt, that it fell victim to Democrat fraud and fraud, and that Hunter Biden’s laptop was never prosecuted. This repeated speech to many Republicans, MSM and all Democrats is simply SSDD and a prima facie reason to vote against him again in 2024.
In fact, Politico encourages Trump to run again in 2024: “Democrats don’t just want Donald Trump to cannonball the 2024 presidential race before the fall midterms. Across the country, they are actively plotting ways to immediately take advantage of the pre-November announcement. “Campaigns and officials from major Democratic groups plan to tap into an anticipated windfall of cash that will arrive if Trump announces he will run for the White House again.”
Simply put, Republicans don’t have to give Democrats any facilitate in two years. One reason is that we have an extremely competent, morally honorable and politically talented candidate waiting for us. Ron DeSantis can be counted on to deliver all the legally persuasive policies Republicans want, without the tractor-trailer load of off-putting baggage that would come with a second Trump presidency.
DeSantis is a graduate of Yale University and Harvard Law School. He joined the United States Navy in 2004 and rose to the rank of lieutenant, then served as an advisor to SEAL Team One and was deployed to Iraq in 2007. DeSantis was a practicing attorney – prosecutor, defense attorney, international lawyer and judge advocate general Corps Officer . He is arguably Florida’s most successful governor. Whenever!! Under his administration, Florida was the first state in the Union to end the teaching of Critical Race Theory (CRT), and he traveled with his team to Southwest Florida as soon as they could safely fly in by helicopter and assess the damage caused by Hurricane Ian to assure citizens that they will be cared for and all property insurance will be accepted; was instrumental in rebuilding the bridge from Pine Island and surrounding barrier islands to the mainland in just three days. In most disasters, such as New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, the response to such a disaster takes several weeks.
Trump’s brand is doing more harm than good
PT Barnum is credited with coining the saying: “There is no such thing as bad advertising.” This was confirmed by the counterfeit Republican Party candidates who won Trump’s support. Most shocking was the performance of John Fetterman, the largely inconsistent Democrat candidate and current Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania, who sent Mehmet Oz over 150,000 votes despite Fetterman’s terrible presence and performance in their only debate.
Apparently there is such a thing as the kiss of death in American elections. The 2022 election was a huge disappointment for Republicans, with the only brilliant spot being Florida, where Gov. Ron DeSantis crushed Charlie Crist and March Rubio defeated Val Demings by more than 1.2 million votes. DeSantis, with his eye on the 2024 presidential election, did not ask Trump to campaign for him. Rubio received contractual support from Trump and won easily. In fact, some may say so Trump’s support was the kiss of death for the Republicans he supported although J.D. Vance won in Ohio.
Many Republicans believe that Trump is financially supporting some GOP candidates by providing imprimatur and personal support during campaign breaks. Forbes this week – people asked rhetorically, how does billionaire Trump become the king of American politics without giving away a penny of his money? After all, George Soros pumped $129 million into leftist super PACs this election. The answer is: Trump doesn’t. He lends them his brand, which, as we unfortunately know, can have negative value for candidates, while Trump gets a hero’s welcome in front of adoring fans.
As of 4:00 PM on November 9, 2022, there are 22 Democrats and 24 Republicans in the U.S. Senate midterm elections, with four seats still too close to fill, and 194 Democrats and 210 Republicans in the House of Representatives. It was almost not the Red Wave we were hoping for.

The 2022 midterm elections have shown that Donald can no longer be considered the Republican Great White Hope. His support of Republicans in many states in November, some quite successful and expressive, for the US Congress and Senate allowed him to take center stage. His statement to the audience at a Republican Party rally was: “I won the 2020 presidential election, but it was stolen from me, so now I’m going to come and help you.”
Apparently, Trump’s support didn’t facilitate much and may have been a clear hindrance, because despite Biden’s terrible performance as president, Republicans actually lost several governorships and gained only slightly in Senate and House races. The other downside to supporting Trump is that the Deep State hates him fiercely even before he was elected in 2016, and will commit its staff and influence to destroy him and the people he supports. DeSantis is a much better and intact political bet for 2024.
