Alvin Bragg’s office offers staggering crime statistics in New York ahead of next week’s hearing

Someone should tell Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg to look in the mirror and realize that the George Soros-backed woke prosecutor clearly wants to make a name for himself. As Julio reported, on Monday, Republican Jim Jordan (R-OH) tweeted that the House Judiciary Committee, which he chairs, would hold a hearing in New York to investigate the rise in violent crime in the country. On Tuesday, Spencer reported, Bragg announced he was suing Jordan.

As former law clerk Mike Davis pointed out, the lawsuit is off to a bad start.

But in the meantime, Bragg’s office must have made some brilliant observations about the nature of crime in New York. Billy House of Bloomberg News posted the statement on Twitter, and Chad Pergram of Fox News highlighted it in a Twitter thread.

It’s especially luxurious to hear that Bragg’s office says so Republicans in the House of Representatives they are the ones making the “political stunt” when it comes to the hearing. Bragg engaged in a “political stunt” in countless ways by accusing former and potentially future President Donald Trump of 34 criminal charges even though he could have misdemeanor charges. What’s more, the statute of limitations has expired and that’s it untested legal theory.

It’s also quite bold for Bragg to tout such crime numbers. According to NYPD crime statistics in the period from April 3, 2023 to April 9, 2023, 100 murder complaints have been received so far this year; 408 for rape; 4,102 for robbery; 3,878 for burglary; and 12,839 for grand larceny. Complaints of assault increased by 8.5 per cent to 6,742 complaints and vehicle theft (GLA) increased by 8.2 per cent to 3,858 complaints.

And let’s not pretend that New York is a crime-free paradise. The New York Post in particular has been sounding the alarm for years criminality AND Braggbut even The New York Times also expressed some appreciation. “Serious crimes rose 22 percent in New York even as shootings dropped” – reads the headline from January 5.

On the topic of safer cities debates, Katie mentioned last November what the Heritage Foundation has done he replied claims that Democrat-run cities and states are supposedly safer overall.

As mentioned in report from the Heritage Foundation on the 30 cities with the highest homicide rates in June 2022:

Not surprisingly, of these 30 cities, 27 have Democratic mayors, with the exception of Lexington and Jacksonville, which have Republican mayors, and Las Vegas, whose mayor is an independent. And in these 30 cities there are at least 14 crooked prosecutors supported or inspired by Soros. Rogue prosecutors who were bought and paid for by or inspired by Soros include…

By June 2022, there were 2,554 homicides in these 30 cities. In the 14 cities where rogue Soros-backed prosecutors operate, 1,752 homicides occurred, representing 68 percent of the homicides in the top 30 homicide cities in the United States.

Every single Soros crooked prosecutor listed above is a Democrat.

Bragg is on this list, as are our other companies, and as Mia has already done an in-depth analysis, Bragg is in fact funded by George Soros, despite what The Washington Post’s Glenn Kessler may want to confirm in his verification facts.

Cleveland and Cincinnati are on the list, as is New York. Moreover, Ohio cities are not in the GOP district and are run by Democratic mayors.

In addition to the tweets, Rep. Jordan appeared on Fox News’ “Special Report,” where he sharply criticized Bragg and his claims. As he told host Bret Baier, they are “obstructing our investigation” and “we have a constitutional obligation to get to the facts,” emphasizing how it relates to the 2024 presidential election. Jordan also painted a picture of how “Alvin Bragg used federal funds to accuse a former president of not committing a crime, and then when we ask questions about it and want to investigate, he takes us to court.”

Jordan then explained that “it’s because we want to talk to someone who left the DA’s office a year ago, who wrote a book on the subject, who did all kinds of interviews, insisted on going after President Trump before he got there, when he got there , when he came out, he wrote a book about it and we are not allowed to talk to him, do that our duty. The congressman again emphasized that they “impede our constitutional duty to provide oversight.”

Let’s hope that Jordan’s tweets and media appearances tearing Bragg and his narrative apart are just the beginning of what is sure to be a close fight.

Jim Jordan” is currently trending on Twitter about the lawsuit and trial.
