We’ve been hearing a lot lately about how Republicans don’t care about dead babies – just keep your hands off their guns! For example, the bullhorn insurrection organized by Tennessee legislators was justified by the fact that they were JUST TRYING SAVE CHILDREN’S LIFE!!!
As MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell put it, the megaphone episode showed “who is trying to protect Tennessee’s children and who isn’t.”
Incredible statistical this is to force us to give up our weapons. PRONTO is that from 2020 gun violence happened leading cause deaths of American children.
We must think of the adolescent children killed in school shootings, such as those at Uvalde and Nashville Christian School. The odds of a child dying in a mass school shooting are 1 in 10 million.
The point is that “children” include gang members between the ages of 16 and 19. When we exclude 16- to 19-year-olds, the number of children killed by guns each year drops from 2,811 to just a few. hundred.
It turns out that black teenagers operate guns to kill plot other black teenagers.
This will come as a surprise to most people because black on black violence is not considered newsworthy. (For contrast everyone white-on-black violence, even the kind that wouldn’t make the local news if the perpetrator were black, will end up on the front page of The New York Times, international newspaper headlines and a phone call from the president.)
Based on arrests reported in local news, here are some recent examples of “children” dying as a result of gun violence. You will note that none of these suspicious murders could have been prevented even if Republicans had given up all their weapons.
And consider that most urban areas are where the immense majority of murders occur they never ended in any arrests. For example, the “severance pay” rate for murder – that is A lot higher than “arrest“The stake is only 22% in Chicago, 43% in Baltimore and 37% in Philadelphia.
According to police arrests:
— March 29, 2023 Vincent Lee Bradley III, 16, and Devonte J. Pool, 17 released at least 33 shots, shooting 16-year-old high school student Larry Marshall III in Tacoma, Washington.
— A few days earlier, 16-year-old Lorenzo A. Brooks and allegedly 19-year-old Aaron Randolph Carter shot and killed 18-year-old Jasiah Smith in a parking lot in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
A week earlier, 19-year-old Adrian Daeshawn Granville and 24-year-old Teonjenique Elizabeth Lashay Hudson Howard were shot to death, and killed at the Embassy Suites hotel in Portland, Oregon by an unknown suspect – the same hotel where a 15-year-old Deandrae A barber fatally shot 18-year-old Parnell Badon Jr. November 19, 2022 (Can’t wait to read the reviews on Yelp).
— On March 7, 2023, two brethrenJacob Tobias Bryant (18) and John Aalen Bryant Jr. (20) and an unnamed 16-year-old minor fatally shot a 17-year-old in Georgetown, South Carolina.
— On February 23, 2023, Keith Melvin Moses (19) shot and killed 9-year-old girlT’yonna Major and her mother during the Orlando, Florida shooting that left several others injured or killed.
— It’s January. 23, 2023, 18-year-old Preston Walls removed his ankle bracelet before shooting rival gang members Gionni Dameron, 18, and Rashad Carr, 16, during a violence reduction program in Des Moines, Iowa.
— January 4, 2023, 18-year-old Zakari Harps fatally shot 17-year-old Breck Gerard Williams Jr. and 14-year-old Adrian Daniels in west Fort Worth, Texas.
— Just before Christmas last year, 17-year-old Lavon Semaj Longstreet and 18-year-old TaeShawn Adams-Wright killed 19-year-old Johntae Raymon Hudson at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota, by standing over Hudson’s body and firing “multiple shots into his body.”
— Earlier in December, 17-year-old Tejuan Johnson and an 18-year-old Jaylan Dubose shot and killed 15-year-old Nonaisha Jones and 19-year-old Logan Lawson in the Roselawn neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio.
All of these gun violence deaths of “children” involved black teenagers killing other black teenagers and a 9-year-old.
More than half of all black teenagers who have died everyone because in 2020, there were gun deaths. There were more black men between the ages of 15 and 34 20 times more likely to die from gun homicide than white men of that age.
Unfortunately, there is probably no story less compelling to our media (or the president) than the epidemic of black teenagers killing themselves. In Jill Leovy’s acclaimed book “Ghetto: A True Story of Murder in America” features a full page of racist quotes explaining why, historically, “black-on-black killings have attracted so little attention.” This one comes from a white Reconstruction-era Tennessean: “[N-word] Life is cheap now.”
Or, as Cook County (Illinois) State’s Attorney Kim Foxx put it in sinking to bring charges in the gang shooting case, “mutual fight“
Instead of highlighting the crisis of Black teenagers shooting each other and declaring a national emergency, the media, corporate America, and Democrats have adamantly called out Black violence in the wake of George Floyd’s death. It’s fun for them. They can watch riot porn in safe, lily white neighborhoods.
The only people who really care about black people dying are the police. And who did the bien-pensants declare war on? You guessed right.
Propose anything that would actually reduce the scourge of black-on-black crime, such as arresting, prosecuting, and imprisoning criminals, and liberals scream: STOP PUTTING BLACK BODIES IN JAIL!
Needless to say, Justin Jones and Justin Pearson, the Tennessee representatives who attacked democracy because THEY WERE JUST TRYING TO SAVE CHILDREN’S LIVES, are huge supporters of BLM. They prattle on about “ending police violence,” “lynching black people by police officers,” and accusing the police of running a “system of white supremacy.”
Jones told Teen Fashion that “more policing does not make communities safer.” (Thousands of black men who are still alive thanks to Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s greater policing policies would disagree.) Instead, Jones proposed “more funding for social workers, public education [and] end poverty.” (Why didn’t anyone else think of this?)
ON NPRPearson blamed “white supremacy” for Tire Nichols’ death. (“White supremacy” is such a powerful force that it even infected five black Memphis police officers charged with Nichols’ death.)
Want to know who doesn’t care about “our children’s lives,” MSNBC? You, the rest of the media, the George Soros-backed prosecutors and the entire Democratic Party. Their motto: “[N-word] Life is budget-friendly now.”
