After the RNC: “I’ve made my decision… I’m going to vote for Trump.”

I never thought I’d be looking forward to anything on C-Span, but the response to the Republican National Convention after the formal program ended was fantastic. First, almost all Democrats called to say how much they liked the RNC and explain why they were leaving their party to support Trump.

We’ve written about this in other posts, but we’re not talking about pliable Democrats here. We’re talking about people with long-standing ties to the Democratic Party – lifelong Democrats who are simply fed up with the radical nonsense sweeping the country. As with most patriots, the convention’s themes of hope, second chances, opportunity, freedom and our founding principles were quite refreshing after last week’s Zoom Democratic conference that was their convention.

An Ohio man said he loves how often God is mentioned, which has pushed him into the GOP camp this cycle — and he’s from Lorain, which closely divided Hillary Clinton’s position in 2016. And speaking of Hillary supporters, one New York woman, Jennifer, called Wednesday night to say she supported Clinton in 2016 but needed a change. She is tired of crime.

On the last night of the convention, a few people visited with Joe Biden at least once, although they couldn’t give him total support. In the tiny amount of time you have to express your opinion, one woman was really digging the bottom of the barrel and couldn’t come up with anything. One guy in Wyoming who had trouble muting his TV said he just couldn’t stand Trump. Okay, then.

But in New Mexico, “David” said he had been a lifelong Democrat, but after watching Trump and the RNC, “I made up my mind. I will definitely vote for Donald Trump.”

“Susan” from Florida was on the fence. Not anymore – the RNC pushed her towards Trump. And “Rosie” from New York is from Venezuela and her reasons for supporting Trump are not a shock to the system. He is pro-life and she has seen what socialism has done to her homeland.

CSPAN voters for Trump, many of them Democrats.

Let me tell you. As the convention ends and Labor Day approaches, more and more Americans will begin to take notice. As leftist violence continues to rage, they won’t like what they see and hear from Democrats about their quasi-support for it.
