On Wednesday afternoon, the House of Representatives voted to impeach President Trump for a second time, a week into his term. Ten Republicans have joined the Democratic-led effort to impeach the president for “incitement of insurrection,” including freshman Rep. Peter Meijer of Michigan’s 3rd Congressional District.
Here are 10 Republicans who voted to impeach Trump from Hill’s incredible pool:

Meijer says that in the wake of the House of Representatives’ decision to impeach Trump, Republicans who voted for it fear for their safety.
“Many of us are changing our habits by trying to get a bulletproof vest, which is a refundable purchase that we can make. It’s sad that we have to get to this point,” Meijer told MSNBC’s Hallie Jackson. “But we expect that someone might try to kill us.”

Meijer said Wednesday that the House vote to impeach the president was “not a victory” for either side, but that accountability was ultimately necessary for the events that took place on Jan. 6.
President Trump violated his oath of office by attempting to undermine our constitutional process, and he is responsible for inciting the insurrection we experienced last week. It is with a weighty heart that I will vote to impeach President Donald J. Trump. pic.twitter.com/SRefFp0nd2

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said any impeachment hearing in the upper chamber would take place in the opening days of the Biden administration.
