First lady Melania Trump closed out the second night of the Republican National Convention. It was a great speech that touched on school choice, opioid addiction, the dangers of social media, and her family’s journey to America. She’s an immigrant who’s now First Lady. This is an indelible American story. Given that Fox News is pulling out of the convention for some strange reason, I watched the RNC on C-Span. After last night’s show, callers were asked to submit their thoughts on Melania’s speech.
Let me tell you. If all these callers vote in November, we will win 48 states. It has been flooded with former Democrats who are now Trump Republicans. One woman, another Democrat from Minneapolis, said there is a stark difference between the conventions this cycle in the sense that the Democratic convention completely missed the riots that have gripped her city and others across the country. They didn’t talk about her concerns; The Democrats abandoned her. So for all those elitist leftists who wonder what kind of people they left behind, here you go.
LISTEN: A former Democrat called on C-SPAN and said this even though she didn’t vote for president @realDonaldTrump in 2016, she “definitely” votes to re-elect him. pic.twitter.com/JGFr3he6Ni

One interviewee, Helen from Johnstown, Pennsylvania, said:
“I come from a long line of Democrats, but I must admit that I switched parties because I am so impressed with what our president has done. And tonight – the entire RNC was wonderful. I think Democrats really need to take a look at what happened to them. How they changed their focus. “If they don’t stand up for what Americans really stand for… they said who the real, real Americans are.”
When asked who she voted for in 2016, Helen replied that she didn’t vote for Trump, but “I definitely do now.” This comes from Rick from Ohio, another C-Span caller, who said his first night at the RNC was enough to push him into the GOP camp. Now he supports Republicans with their references to God in his remarks.
