Here’s how the town hall will cover the DNC

The Democratic National Convention begins Monday night with much less fanfare than usual. On the first night of the first-ever virtual convention, several former 2020 candidates will speak, including Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT) and Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), as well as the current Governor of New York. Andrew Cuomo and former first lady Michelle Obama. And, the biggest surprise of the convention, former Ohio Republican Governor John Kasich. Kasich suggested that a former GOP congressman will also appear at the convention to support Biden.

What we’re most curious about is how Senator Sanders will be received and whether his calls for unity will reassure his supporters who have been rejected by the establishment in two elections in a row. Last time the Bernie brothers did it NO heated to Hillary Clinton, and the whole issue was divisive.

But Hillary will be back to speak, and so will former President Bill Clinton. Former President Obama is scheduled to take the podium on Thursday. As always, Democrats lined up several big-name artists to perform, including Billie Eilish and Jennifer Hudson. On Wednesday, Biden’s running mate, California Sen. Kamala Harris, will deliver her speech. On Thursday, Biden will formally accept the nomination and deliver prepared remarks. You can see the full schedule Here.

The convention will air each evening from 9-11 p.m. EST. Townhall will be livestreaming and blogging each evening, as well as coverage of key speeches as well as media and Trump administration reactions. And don’t worry, we’ll also be tracking the president’s whereabouts. He is expected to make remarks as he tours the battleground states of Arizona, Minnesota and Wisconsin, and I’m sure he’ll have plenty to say about the Democrats’ celebration.

Then the fun starts all over again next Monday with the Republican National Convention.

See you at 9 p.m.!
